IT in general is exciting. We live in a world where computers are one of the most important things. As we speak, programming is not a skill that everyone has. Being able to develop your own project is this world gives you a chance. Everything is possible thanks to Information Technology, and we live in a key period where there are not enough developers to satisfy the need.
How does knowledge work?
Have you ever noticed that when someone explains something, you feel that you understand it, but when you try to apply it, you find it difficult, almost like you know nothing. You are not alone. The reason why is because knowledge consist of two important parts — information and knowledge.
As shown in the figure, information is based on facts or things that provide awareness, while knowledge is when we apply what we have acquired such as information. Watching online videos, reading articles or talking to people provides you information and to some extent knowledge (built upon experience), but that is not true knowledge.
Knowledge is when we are able to connect information and apply it somewhere.
Practice
Writing code is like playing golf. When you start, it’s not as fun as it sounds. You need to learn everything, from which driver to use for hitting to how to measure the wind. The pleasure will come as you go along, begin to understands and start to have fun with your knowledge.
RUN!!!
No, not literally, but the code. Don’t just read the code, but run it and see what it does. By simply reading the code can be a significant problem when people start programming.
When you learn coding, you should try write and run as you learn. By running a code you will understand it better because your curiosity will sparking to try and modified the code.
Never Stop Challenging Yourself
In IT, everything is evolving quickly, chase or you’ll be left behind. When you are a developer, always learn something new to stay up to date.
Therefore the best thing to do is by challenging yourself to be more up to date than yesterday. Your sense of satisfaction will be increased when you overcome your own challenge. The more exciting it is, the more you expand your skill.
